Chief Operating Officer
Alistair served in the Merchant Navy before coming ashore where he spent 25 years working in production management for a large global textile manufacturer. During that period, he gained a wealth of experience in technical production involving computerised systems and migrations, ending up as senior R&D manager. During the next 11 years he continued in IT, beginning as a first level Information Systems Support Engineer and progressing to the position of Network Support Manager with overall responsibility for a team of engineers supporting SMBs with their IT support requirements. He has a ‘can do’ approach to his role at Netopa and brings a wealth of experience that all our clients benefit from.
When not working, and not playing trainee veterinarian to a house cat, requiring constant medical care – Alistair likes to fit in a few spare hours doing DIY, wood turning and the occasional walk in the country. A bit of golf and hill walking are occasionally enjoyed in a good week weather permitting!
